OK, so a few months ago I replaced my EGR valve as it was throwing an EML. Other than that the car was running perfectly
Since replacing the valve my fuel consumption has been worse - maybe 10%
For instance I drove to London and back at the weekend - 540 mile roundtrip, mostly motorway - 75mph ish, and I averaged 47mpg, whereas before it would have been above 50mpg - its a 150bhp tdi Cupra
I know doing a EGR delete can help fuel consumption - do you think it was accidently doing this before I replaced it? If I had the EGR turned down using the VAG software would it restore my better fuel consumption?
