EGR valve problem

Hi I have a ibiza 1.2 and had the software update. I now have a problem with the EGR valve. Anyone know if this could be caused by the software update?

Hi, maybe expand on what that car is exactly to improve any replies you get, like year of car and which 1.2 engine variant, ie quoted power output and petrol or DERV, ta! Oh, and current mileage.

I would say your issue is almost guaranteed to be linked to the emissions "fix" softwate update. VAG of course will completely deny that so don't expect them to be very helpful.

If you google there's a whole bunch of people having major issues with EGR and injectors post 'fix' it's an absolute nightmare.

Some people been getting them replaced FOC or discounted get onto the emissions helpline and complain and don't back down, that facebook group may have some helpful advise.
