i had a set which was 22 front 25 rear took them of after about 6 month the ride was so harsh with the coilovers i put on and didnt notice hardly any difference in handeling on the road when i took them off

that's unusual ? arb's don't normally effect the ride ? on springs and shocks I've noticed a real difference in the corners with just a rear Eibach arb on

+1. Same set up here and the rear bar makes a huge difference to cornering with no difference to ride quality. Maybe the 22mm front was overkill and cancelled out the effect from the rear ??

Hi,

We were alerted to this forum and thought we may help.

A sway bar has no real affect in a straight line and will not al all affect the ride quality until turning into a corner or some sort of load put on the bar.

The coilovers described in this thread maybe very stiff so there then would not be as much difference noticed with or with out the sway bars as the stiff coilover will not be allowing the suspension much movement or travel over a sofeter set so there maybe not too much noticed with the bars in average driving.

What the sway bars can do even with the coilovers is to tune the suspension to eliviate things like understeer or oversteer that the car maybe suffering from.

If the car has too much understeer a rear bar is the way to go and what is mainly what the first upgrade it to any FWD car.

I have the rear whiteline ARB, with eibach pro street s coupled with just the front OE ARB and and upper strut brace and the car feels nice and solid, I must say the adjustable whiteline rarb made the worth of difference.

well i have a tt strut brace ready to go on. just need to get the fixing for it. so if i was to put a whiteline rarb on it would leave her sitting pretty good. only question what size of bar to go for? im just looking the car to be really balance. no real body roll just sit good through the corners

I was thinking R32 front ARB and 24mm rear Whiteline. But I'm swaying (pardon the pun) towards nuespeed 24 front and 28mm rear ARBs. Will be ordering them later this week can't wait to get them fitted.

No sorry they don't but Whiteline do a 24mm front for the Cupra. If you buy them together you may get a reduction in price. Ive had a great offer for the Nuespeed pair which has twisted my arm and is not far off the price of the R32 and Whiteline ARBs. It's a buyers Market.

I'm not 100% sure what front ARB the LC has but I belive it a thicker bar than the LCR has. You'll be better of asking someone like Damian, the Whitline people or someone with a LC. Have you tried doing a search or looking in the FAQ section?

well, im going with the whiteline one the only question is which one. the 22mm, adj 22 or adj 24. what do you guys think. this is to be teamed up with upper and lower strut braces on the front and the standard farb?

I'd go with the 24mm adjustable bar.
