On sautrday my darling daughter and I fell out. Y'see, she grabbed the window while I was closing it and she grabbed it. There was a hell of a 'clonk', the window shuddered and now wont go back up. All the other windows re fine and I can hear the motor whirring away when I push the button but no window.

Took it to my local Nationwide Service center, (No Seat dealer in Ipswich), who reckoned the regulator has gone and will cost £140 approx.

As moneis are tight at the moment, is this an easy job? How does one get the door card off, (Impressed with the build quality, no visible screws)?

Any help etcetc:help:

The screws are hidden behind the grab handle and under the bottom edge (i think)
then there are pop off trim clips around the outside.
Then you have to disconnect the various wires and bits.
Fairly easy but have a search as there is a brilliant link to pictures and step by step guide as its a common problem.
If you are lucky it might have popped off the runner if not front motor, cables and kit can be had off ebay for about £40+ iirc

sounds like the clip that holds the window to the runner has snapped....
it kinda jams everything up....you can get repair kits

as skinny said...its very common! :(
