Generally owning any vag car and not wanting to pay through the teeth for garages to fix little niggles means you get pretty handy with them!
And there are so many of them around that we all get to know the faults and how to fix them. You can rely on VAG to screw the same components/systems up every time.
:-o reliability my arse!

The engines are built like brick toilets though, they go on and on and on and on and on and on.....
Shame about the rest of the bits.

Gotta hate them to love them :D

Right i put 2 new 10amp fuses in there and i got nothing, but something has made one of them blow again? is there a picture anywhere i can get of the fuse box?

On the back of the fuse board it is printed the number in the manual it tells you what fuse does what.
Something is shorting it out, was it ok before you tried to change them?

Thanks ill go outside ill have a look inamin and take a picture and upload on here, i think its blowing the 34.

If a fuse blows when you replace it, it means the fault is still present (assuming the correct rating of fuse is used).
So if replacing the fuse does not work, you are likely to have a fault somewhere else. Most likely a short to earth somewhere.

When you tried fitting the lamp that was not the right size, did you bend or open the fittings in any way in an attempt to fit it?
Could the fittings in the lamp holder be touching structure somewhere and causing a short to earth?

I do remember the pins in the main interior light being bent when putting it in? could that be shorting the circuit out?

would i need replace it or just take it off and put back to original positions?

They are all the fuses i have in my fuse box aswell..

I found the problem was that the fuse had blown so i need go replace that one, also its number 34 on the fuse box that keeps blowing.

34– Engine control, diesel engine... 10 ? how can i stop this?

It's weird... you must have done more damage somehow :/

If the car is running fine, no. Does the car start without the fuse in?
