Enable voice recognition Ibiza Toca ??

From the steering column controls, im not able to activate voice recognition on my Portable System

The manual it says the button in between the volume control buttons but when i press it it doesnt seem to do anything at all

Any ideas??

Just explained this to another user last night, the voice control is to do with the Bluetooth hands free communication package which sounds like you haven't got it installed. Basically the comms pack connects your phone to the radio so you can store 50 names in the cars phone book and all your calls will be displayed on the radio display

Yeah I have it, basically when you press it your radio will bleep allowing you to start the voice control system by saying 'select name' to call someone or one of the other various options available

i mean because i only have the seat portable system, does that mean that button wont do anything

Nah it won't the guy I was chatting to last night was in exactly the same situation

There might be a way to connect it but without the comms pack and not being that technically minded I'm at a lost

thats mental, you'd think that would activate voice recognition on the portable system as well...

bit odd that button have absolutely no purpose at all

Probably seat trying to cut costs or milk money out of you to buy the comms package but yeah it is strange
