Hey all.

As per title really.

I've just watched a video on youtube of an american guy (Left hand drive) feeding wires straight into his engine bay with no need to take off the wipers and the surrounding plastic.

Is this possible on a right hand drive car and if so can anyone show me where exactly this grommet hole is.

The video link is

The thread i was reading about the wiper removal etc is here..

Any help would be appreciated.

After a short while later (before I decided to get a remap) I wanted a boost gauge and pillar pod. I bought a Autogauge off ebay and I bought a pillar pod off ebay too.

After reading a guide on here I fitted it myself. A little fiddly and took a little time, but was worth it. All wired up and plumbed in, I have hidden the clear pressure tubing under the black rubber bonnet lining which hides it very well. Added some cables ties for good measure! Then set around doing the N249 bypass too (might aswell as I was already there!!)

Where the grommet is / where you drill slowly ONLY through the plastic grommet

Taken off my riders ride mate. The grommet is the one at the top.

Use a slow drill, drill through the plastic only, feed whatever wires etc.. U need. It will come out under/behind the fuse box panel. Then from there you can feed it under/behind the steering wheel, dash etc.. Then you feed it up from the pedals to behind the centre surround.

The grommet is under the hard black plastic right where the bonnet meets the engine bay. Move the rubber seal and then you will see the grommet. Make sure you feed a lot of wire/tubing to make sure you can see it when you try to find it!! Trust me I put about 2metres worth and then I found it ha!

Just e careful and only drill into the grommet - be careful of the wires!

Hope that helps
