Hi there,

I've got a problem with my Leon FR TDI 150. Engine management light was intemittently coming on and is now on continuously when driving. Have had the fault codes read and the memory has been clear on all occasions.

Each time i have reset the ECU to get rid of the light, however when starting it up the next time the light is back on.

The car apppears to be running fine.

Has anyone had similar problems?

Would appreciate any advice on the subject.

Cheers

I had the light come on a few times. Had it cleared on VAG com. I ended up changing one of the glow plugs and it has sorted it. Not come back since. Might be worth changing all the glow plugs?

Thanks,

Vag Com read the ECU memory initially with no faults shown, then had the latest Bosch code reader do the same and again no codes shown.

I did notice that prior to the engine management light problem sometimes the glowplug indicator would remain on for a fairly long period of time (more than 15-30 secs before going out) even though the ambient temperature was warm and after the car had been running for a while. Would this not log a fault if there was a problem here?

Cheers

my leon had 6 plugs changed under warranty, so i bought vag com and lead
next time the light came on i tested it myself says its an intermittent problem
I cleared it not changed the plug , justed tested them guide on hear all ok.
If i dont wait for the car to do its system checks before turning the key it throws the engine management light on wait for the airbag light to go out every time and i aint had it come on for ages.
Strange I know but it works.
