engine management light

hi all,

Well yesterday this lovely light came on, had a quick look under the bonnet and one of the plastic T-pieces had snapped which was connecting the vacum hosing. So replaced it and left it running for a while, then when for a quick run about, but the light stayed on.
Does the fault need to be cleared with Vag com, or reset by disconnecting the battery. Or is there still a fault because the lights on?

Needs resestting. If you have acces to vagcom do it, so you can confirm the fault, if not just disconnect the battery!

It will go out eventually, just takes a while of driving to realise the problems fixed.

hi thanks for all your help.

Disconnected the battery for a minute or so and checked none of the vacum hoses were blocked, then reconnected and light was gone!

think ill go get the cable for vagcom though, save this hasle!
