hi all

i just wanna pick at your brains,

i have a mk1 leon cupra and having problems starting when hot?

my question is, does the crank sensor read the engine revs or is it the cam sensor??

ive had the car on diagnostics and the fault code relates to the crank sensor but on the diagnostics its showing its reading some rpm when i turn it over??

very confused

hope that makes sence lol

thanks in advance for any help i get on this

starting issues when hot are commonly related to the temp sensor, im on my 3rd in 24 months, it'll start from cold fine, but struggle once warm, hows your mpg?

im getting an average of 23-25 thats mainly around town.

its only started late on yesterday?

racking my brains on this one lol.

As above, it is well worth considering the coolant temperature sensor.. not too pricey to change, very easy to get to, doesn't always log a fault code if it's only just started to go wrong..

thanks for the advice dougie.

the cars picked a great time to go wrong lol cant get any parts until tuesday now.

fingers crossed its just a temp sensor then.
