Error code issues

Any help would be much appreciated.

Basically about 2 months ago had the engine light come on, car was running fine no problems what so ever, took it to a local guy who did a diagnostics check and it came up with.

Air Intake Bank 1
Transmission ECU CAN bus

As the car was running fine i just got him to clear the faults.
Since then ive had no problems untill this week when the light came on again and car feels a bit down on power.

Any ideas what it could be, i Know there's prob like 100 things it could be, but if any one could give me a rough idea....

Also for the first 5 minutes of driving the car, basically when its warming up it makes a whining noise when accelerating???

That's odd because our cars don't run can- bus ? Maybe you should re-scan it elsewhere because as without mocking the guy it sounds like he is unfamiliar with these cars
Or buy a code reader or even better vag-com for yourself it's worth it's weight in gold !

as above. i got a 40 quid vag code reader off ebay, already made double that reading codes for mates!
