Good afternoon all!

First post, proud owner of a Cupra for 3 weeks. (Cupra 280, 64 plate.)

Can’t find any threads for the same problem so thought i would ask you guys as i am my wits end... bought OBDeleven pro last, have had no problems with it at all dine most of the basic things that everyone else seems to have done.

The problem is today i was messing around in control unit (09) and Headlight regulations (55) trying to get the DRL’a to only come on with Auto mode, i’ve tried all the guides here and couldn’t get it work. Whilst messig about i have ran into the error;

- Error: Headlight range control.

I can’t for the life of me get it to go away, i have tried going through all the settings i changed and reverting them back but to no avail, has anyone come across this before? Also is it possible to reset everything back to factory settings through the app?

Thanks.

Have a look around in the headlight settings. I did the same thing a few weeks ago and you need to reload the basic settings. I can't remember exactly what I did ( getting on a bit) but it's fixable with obdeleven. Try Google as I think that's where I found the fix info.
Sorry I can't be more specific but don't give up yet...

Here it is . Screenshot of what fixed mine. I was messing with the left/ right hand drive changeover...
Basic settings fixes it. Instead of not active change to active.

VCDS Procedure

[Select]
[55 - Xenon Range]
[Basic Settings - 04]
Group 001
[Go!]

Wait at least 20 seconds for the headlamp motors to move. The headlamps are now in their adjustment position. Turn on headlights. Adjust them via their manual adjusting screws as referenced against a suitable aiming target.

Scroll up to Group 002. The Xenon Range controller has now learned this position as its Home position.

Click the [Done, Go Back] button and you're all set.
