ESP light came on while driving my 2004 lcr stage 2 remap and wouldn't go off. Car still drives spot on but when I stuck my code reader on it came up with 01435 & 00810. Has anyone had this and got any repair guides.
If you have access to VAGCOM/VCDS then that might be more specific as to exactly which of those sensors is at fault and whats' wrong with it. The fact it says about adaption settings is one clue, have you disconnected the battery or anything brake related before this code came up? If so then it could be some sort of software issue.
If it was me i would check the wiring to, and the brake pedal switch itself as thats pretty easy. IMO the brake pedal switch would be the first and most likely cause of these codes.
The other sensor, brake pressure sensor G201, is installed on the underneath of the master cylinder under the bonnet. If you can get to this then you could check the wiring to that too, although to replace it it seems that you would have to drain the brake system etc.
Hope thats some help, if you find a more specific code then post it up and i'll have another look for you.
