ESP OFF and Exhaust

Mates, I'm seeing something strange and confusing in my LEON FR DSG....

Yesterday, I was trying out the launch control... Then i switched to D back and drove home "safely", but, I noticed something different, my exhaust was a lot louder!, all of the sudden I heard a louder VROOOM in the exhaust.

I checked the volume of the radio to make sure it was the same as always, yes, it was the same volume level as always...

Then I saw in my Dashboard that the ESP was OFF, so, I turn ESP ON again....

What happens? Exhaust goes back to the normal loudness... So this makes me wonder, does ESP have anything to do with Exhaust!?

Thanks in advance

ESP governs the power and subsequently the engine output so in turn details the output of the exhaust, the change in tone will be due to this ...Anyway if it sounds better then RUN IT !>..................

Of course I should hahaha, but, I guess the ESP is like our optional guardian angel, and since there are so many traffic jams in my country, I'd rather have it ON, maybe some nights when I'm out there beating the crap out of those Honda Civics in my country I could turn it off...

Thanks!

Well... Luckily for me Type Rs don't come to my country :D, nor does the Focus RS.

Only the Megane Sport... but I have seen none which have (raceable) drivers....

There's also only one other cupra in my country, but his Cupra has too many tune-ups... so I can't even get close to him
