For info Evo magazine are running a Cupra R at the moment on their fleet.

There's a 4 page write up in this months mag (out tomorrow) where they put it up against a low powered Elise Club Racer at Bedford Autodrome (half the power but only 852kg)

It beats the Elise by 0.5s.

Gets quite a good write up and is only 0.9s behind the megane R26R (which is the fastest Hot hatch on their leaderboard and was on track focused tyres).

Quite impressive :D

Cracking quote of "The only FWD cars which were more impressive (through the corners) were the R26R and the Mugen Civic Type R, both of which were on trackday rubber".

Interesting stuff... Is the new Meg 250 cup quicker than the R26R?

A lot of the reviews I have read say if you need 5 doors get the LCR if you don't buy the Meg.

Good stuff, any money that the car would have made up a second with trackday rubber as it makes a massive difference!

Agreed.

I've just fitted Track biased AD08's to the front and it has transformed the grip from the Pirelli P Zeros.

No times for that i'm afraid. Have you ever been in one? Gotta be the most claustrophobic hatchback i've ever been in (front & rear). They're horrible.
