Exeo or Exorcet?

I moved out of my Leon into the Exeo ST recently and immediately loved the way the car drove but missed the poke of the Leon Cupra so asked our service guys to install a Revo re-map. Unfortunately Revo hadn't yet developed a programme for the SEAT version of the 170BHP Common Rail which runs a different ECU to the VW one so it couldn't be installed.

We spoke to Kev at Revo and he arranged to pick up my car, take it back to their place and use it as bit of a test bed.

They delivered back to me a completely different car, this car is now truly awesome, it can light up the wheels in 3rd, 4th gear takes you from 30MPH to a years driving ban in a rapid, smooth, uninterrupted push in the back. It still pulls at over 4,500RPM, a prod on the throttle in any gear provokes an instant response and yet it's still wiiling to amble along very smoothly at a little over tickover. I lent it to a customer for a test drive last week his comment on returning me the keys was "that's not a car it's a f*****g missile!"
I tend to agree but with the caveat that it's a missile that reacts brilliantly to guidance and is returning better MPG than pre-Revo'd, how the hell do the Revo guys do it? I'm convinced they'd have been put on a ducking stool in the middle ages because this truly is magic!

There's no F in Quality..
Interesting comments there mate.

I asked Kev a few months back what the Revo map on an Exeo would be like, and he said it would be 'interesting';)

Apparently the B8 A4 which is also fitted with the same CR143/170 engine, is alot heavier than the Exeo, so is alot slower. Kev was expecting the Exeo to be significantly better than the A4, which it appears to be!

Awesome, I have been looking at the possibility of getting an ST next year as the Leon is not quite large enough for pooch :-(.. I wonder why it runs a diff ECU though??

Don't know the answer to that I'm afraid but anytime you want to give mine a spin just give me a call, the only thing I would warn you about is the aching jaw it will induce through grinning so widely!
