Exeo Wiper blades

feeling a bit numptyish at present
bought a complete set of wiper blades for the Exeo ST from Costco - Goodyear and on offer so thought whoop whoop a result......until I came to fit them. Not seen a fitting like that for wipers before - rails and clip - used to the good olde end hook - surfice to say they dont fit - shouldve read the "compatibility" list derrrr

Anyone know of a good place to get high quality but value blades for the exeo without having to go to the main dealer please?

Hi, Have been fitting Bosch wiper blades on all my cars over the past 30 years, and never allowed a garage to replace. Just recently replaced the rear wiper on my 2 year old 10,000 mile ST with a Bosch blade for £10.50 off e bay and now perfect squeek free clean, the original fronts are still fine so won't replace just yet....Julian

I have used www.wiperblades.co.uk previously

Quick delivery and the prices were ok for what I was buying (loads of blades for Citroen Nemo vans!) but they seem to have gone up slightly.

Not looked into Exeo bits, but if the prices are ok they have stock most of the time and a few choices - Bosch & Valeo.

Actually got Valeo blades on my Dispatch van, they work well and were cheap.

+1 for www.wiperblades.co.uk, quick delivery, good prices and a good company to deal with

Broke the cap that locks the blade yesterday.
After washing the car I lowered the wipers back to the window when one slipped out of my hands.
The cap that locks the blade to the wiper broke.
Secured the blade with tape and hope to have a new one tomorrow.

In the picture below the cap (at the right) is in unlock position. The horizontal part over the right opening in the picture below broke off.

On a side note, has anyone found a really good screen-wash that works well on the Exeo?

(yes I know, screen-wash is screen-wash..... or fairy-liquid is screen-wash in Nath's case ;) )

Fairy liquid indeed?

Actually I plop a dishwasher taplet into my washer bottle. The detergent and rince aid do a brill job on the glass and the salt stopps it freezing in the winter. :D

Normally I use the cheap stuff from Halfords.

In the summer I use Valma Insectfree to get rid of the dead bodies. Just spray it on the window and headlights, wait a few minutes and wash it off with clean water.

Replaced the broken wiper blade today and have one spare now. :)

Fitted mine at the weekend, and very very impressed so far :)

The hardest part of fitting, was sliding the retaining clip back on the existing blades...... they need a good hard tug.... phnar pHnar ;)

The retaining clip on the new ones (the bit that mcdonald broke) does seem rather weak/flimsy to be honest. When sliding it in to place, you have to be really careful to ensure it engages properly, and the tiny plastic prongs look like they can easily be misaligned and snapped.

As for screen wash, I picked up some stuff from Lidl's the other week, a small green bottle of 1:100 concentrate. Only used it since yesterday, but seems rather good for summer use. For winter I use the Lidl's stuff again, but this time the big 5L bottle that has got a freezing point of about -30'C when used neat.

Also make sure the rather square metal part that at the end after wiper arm is in the correct position otherwise the new blades won't fit.
The prevent breaking I hold one hand under the blades when lowering the wiper back on the window.
