looking at the exhaust book that bosal do and they dont have the cat part for a 1.4mpi 8v 2001 but that doesent matter as im looking for a de-cat.
anyways on my 1.4 the cat is straight after the manifold and its like a right angle in this book there is a pipe from another ibiza where it goes just a straight through pipe where it goes down from the manifold then goes up and down with the flexing to a cat there instead of at the start.
basically if i order this and remove the cat and put this in its place should it fit??
sorry for the **** explination but its the only way i can think haha cheers

right so as you can see ive took a picture from the bosal exhausts book and this is the exhaust system off the old ibiza as you can see at the bottom left and top left there is a pipe that goes from manifold to a cat AFTER!! the bend and flexi unlike the one we have where its a right angled cat so what i was thinking is it possible to just take the cat off and replace it with this pipe :D :D :D seems like it should work

Be sure to keep me updated on the price mate ;) I reckon our 'ickle 1.4's will sound pretty good with a Decat tbh...

You would have to change it for an MOT? Pfft.. Throw you Tester an extra tenner, he'll put the emmisions sensor up the exhaust of an astra or something ;)

Another frigging post....

Have a look at this mate..
Catconverters.jpg

I think our engine codes are AUD.. So to get the right one, i think we will have to get one that will go with the right engine..

Now, the exhausts for an AUD engine are the bottom 2 in the picture, and it looks as though the middle one has a bit of a break in the pipe, just before the CAT.. i reckon thats our ticket there mate ;) :D :D :D

Reseeeaaarrccchhhh :p

FAAAACCKK!!! Why is nothing easy?
Surely you can buy that pipe on its own... What if there is a crack in that pipe, or its knackered.. Surely you dont also have to buy a CAT as well..

I went to powerflow, and asked them if they could make me a decat.. They even had my cat and cut off the bend over the subframe so they could weld a pipe onto that to save them selves a lot of hassle... And they STILL said that couldnt get the bends right.. COULDNT GET THE BENDS RIGHT!!! HAVE YOU EVER HEARD THAT BEFORE AT AN EXHAUST SPECIALISTS? :D :cartman:

right update :D :D :D i have it sorted ive orderd a pipe that technically is the wrong fit but will work none the less its the pipe i origanlly put up but all you need to do is obviously cut out the cat just!!! after the bolt section then just take it out with the bend after it included then put this pipe in but weld it to the pipe remaining after the manifold :D anyways its orderd and will be here tomorrow i will let you know how it goes when i get it on :p
