how are you measuring egt's to determin they're too hot?
whats the spec of the car/engine?

K03 based manifold supports >300bhp when ported fine

its that yellow cupra r you fiddled about with bill when i brought my mk4 ibiza cupra up ihi up with the silly tip.

you put a bmc filter on the yellow one and gained 10bhp from better air flow as it was have turbalance in the maf if i remember.

standard engine with a k04 on it

no egt gauge fitted to car....

Scrap manifold, buy rods and go serious power with a gt28 or 30 your just chasing numbers that ain't going to come! Your not gping to get much from a manifold maybe 5bhp, itl need a down pipe fabricated to if you bought a manifold so looking at 1500 with labour I'd say easy for 5bhp?? Pointless just leave it as it is or go all out doth a real turbo!
It's mods that's ain't going to make the car worth anymore so it's dead money

He got a diff manifold to you ^^

You got Leon cupra r manifold with a q-peng downpipe

You need to look for k04 fitment not Ibiza manifold upgrades

That car has had same turbo fitted since "Turbo boy" built the car, I hammered it and I'd imagine turbo boy and glen the guy I bought it off hammered it, the turbo will not cook if it was it would of happend by now?

Take it from me you seen me spend like 15k on my gt30 if it ain't broke it don't need fixing!

Rods and then big power with big turbo or leave what u got as it is

Pardon my ignorance (and I'm probably way off track here) but isn't a hot exhaust manifold a potential sign of lean running? Or is it just the amount of power your cars are putting out?

guys..
rag your STANDARD cupra up the nearest hill and when you get to the top, leave engine running and open the bonnet... best done at dusk time for full effect

it will be glowing

why you fretting about it.?
unless you are measuring egt's you are just speculating on whats occuring

ported k03 manifold supports 332bhp when asked to do so... the runners are adequate for that level

You just won't listen will you.. From the moment you got the car you have been trying to find faults that arnt even there. You have change parts that have never needed changing like intercooler, when bill mapped the car I said is the intercooler ok and he said yes its fine, the pipe work was fine also,I know this because I fitted it al and you had it smoked testedl. IMO your weeing your money up the wall. If your happy with the power then just enjoy what you have, I know the car was plenty fast enough (13.8 1/4 mile in road trim). Loads of people have told you the car is fine stop fussing.

The options are leave it and stop spending money pointlessly, keep wasting your money or if you want more power, like your mate said go big turbo.

I'd love to see some pics of the car though please

To add I think the money would be best spent re bushing the car etc and keeping the ride and handling sweet.

as said above!! manifolds do get hot mate, and yes to a point they will glow red hot. keep the manifold on there, and use the money to maintain the car, improve handling etc

lets see pics haha

Manifolds glow red that's the top and bottom of it. Infact the equal length manifolds look even red/yellower and even whiter from pictures and videos I've seen.
