In the long run on the standard K04 turbo, it does strain it if im honest, I put a new intercooler on last week, the pipes had more oil in than I expected, The turbo was rebuilt 5k miles ago..

What exactly strains? The full 3" set up? Or your original 3"-2.75"-2.5"?

I can't say that I've noticed any strain but it allows the turbo to spool up so quickly & freely that it's possible that the rest of the car has trouble matching it. I can't say for certain mind you but it's something that a custom stage 2 map would cater for and a 4bar FPR to aid fuelling.
