Hello!

I had a very strange problem with my brand new Cupra Leon 2022 (only 500kms)

Today when I opened the driver’s door an extreme loud noise came out from all the speakers. I tried to adjust the volume and also turn off the ignition but it didn’t make any difference.
The noise was too loud that it made me go outside the car and try locking it again but without any effect on the issue.
Aftee 1 minute it suddenly stopped but then I wasn’t be able to play anything.

I am very scared that all the speakers had blown out.

Have you experienced something like this before?
Thank you.

I did experience this with my Cupra formentor 2021 VZ2 also 1st january around 06:05... it was very scary,...sound... luckily the car was not driving when it happen...
The sound was extreme white noise and I did sound like the fans did blow on full speed too...
Luckily it did stop after a few minutes, I did got panic did not know what to do, I think it would go on and on until battery would die...
It is possible some of the 6 speakers have been damaged... I need to find some good way to test it with some filter sweep test file...
I was 90% sure the speakers would blow cause of the extreme volume

and test left and right channels...

here is a video how it did sound

Anyway... what the ******* hell is this ? does not give me much confidence to drive this car honestly...
I think there is something wrong in the software in the car or something...

The sound was extremly ******* loud I did try my best to find some button in the car that would lower the volume but yeah it was kind of clear no form of input had any effect try to start and stop the car (risking my ears in the process) , hopefully I did not damage my hearing I already had tinnitus since before I already try to avoid concerts...
If this would had happen during driving I think honestly it could had lead to a crash.

I have not contacted the dealer yet about this issue... I need to test the stereo and also I think they will just think this sounds too strange to believe so I wonder have some one hear had the same problem ?

I have no OBD scanner but maybe... the answer will be available in some error codes..

Wow this is so weird, maybe it's a earth issue, got to be something loose somewhere. My old Audi used to do something similar quite regular when it was cold, I just lived with it, I couldn't live your issue! Best of luck getting it resolved

Could be.. I think software.. More likely.. Software can create all kinds of spooky problems in modern cars. If the brain in the car will short circuit inside well all hell break lose and that is what seemed to have happen hear it was the sound of pure hell!
