Hey, i have a seat leon fr pre-face 2009 and over the weekend i upgraded the climate control unit from the old digital one to the face-lift one and i have 2 problems

1: the lights are glowing up on the temp number and buttons but the light is really low and very had to see ( uploaded pictures so you can see what i mean ) and i have tried turning the brightness up and down but that didn't help or fix it

2: them temps seem really off if i set it from 17-26 its just cold air and only when it's on high i get hot air

i removed pin 20 and taped it up then put pin 16 in the pin 20 slot

any help would be appreciated

thanks

you have some connection issues there, 12v not reaching the lights and probably there is calibration to be done.

I would suggest you check that all of your pin connections match up. if you know the pinouts for the 2 units that would be useful to you. The bit you have replaced is controls only i believe, there is a climate controller in a box somewhere else that does the sums and tells the flaps, motors and what have you, what to do.

yeah it would be nice to get something showing the pin layouts for both units so i could match them up but i will give the other thing a try and see if doing that helps

just an update in case anyone needs help with the same problem i had, i looked at connector B (Black) and pin 6 was missing and on connector C (Brown) pin 7 & 8 are also missing, so all i did to fix my problem was on connector A (Black) i put pin 16 & 20 back to the original slots and now the lights are much brighter (uploaded pictures) and the temps are working just fine
so i didn't need to change any of the pins in the first place just plug & play from the pre-facelift (2009) to the facelift (2011) climate control

i hope this helps if anyone needs it

I’ve replaced the panel and connectors B and C pins 6,7 and 8 are missing. Changed pins 16 and 20 in connector A and bring them to original slots but I’m having issue with rear window heating( doesn’t work and button doesn’t light up) and buttons and temp are dim. Any solutions ?
