Facelift number plate bulb size?

They're a festoon, but can't remember what size, I think they're 36mm though.

Definitely aren't a sidelight bulb. Just go out and get one out the car! All you need is a Philips screwdriver to remove two screws then pull it out

38MM festoon bulbs. 36 or 40 will also fit if you bend the metal tang connectors by 1mm each..

I have 36mm Error free ones in mine, got them from Matt over at mk5golfgti.
