facelift xenons

I take it they are decent bulbs then if your on a third set. My last three cars have all had xenons so I think thats why going back to halogen bulbs they look so poor in comparison

Id never go back to halogens. As bad as i think the light output is, halogens arent the answer . If it doesnt improve with new xenon bulbs, im going to look at retrofitting and upgrading with some decent projectors from Morimoto

Yeah, of course, they aren't as good as xenon lights. I swapped them out in a car park so I could park far enough away to see a difference and they added about 20-25m onto the standard bulbs. The ring seem to have better reviews for reliability as well. They also look cooler. LOL. I'm hoping they arrive Monday.

To be honest I never really looked to see if the fr had xenons or not as with my previous performance cars being older than the fr I kind of assumed the fr would have come standard with xenons.

No the UK spec FR never had xenons as standard.

They weren't standard on any model before the 2012 model year, and only then were they standard on the FR+ and Cupra R

Thank you, you can clearly see the difference. I had a quick look at mine the other day and noticed that the passenger side was aiming very low, so I raised it up and will see if that improves anything

Have you got a picture of the beam against a wall or garage door?

How pitted is your xenon housing? Some pics may help...

i dont get a very clear and sharp cutoff line as i expected. Maybe i am expecting too much

Fitted a set of Phillips Racing Vision bulbs today and I must say they have made a world of difference. I have had to buy a set of of halfords advanced 3500k side light bulbs as the standard ones look awful against the new headlight bulbs
