ok, so I just got a seat Ibiza and took it for an MoT, I know nothing about cars,
could you guys tell me what parts these would need and how much it
would cost to fix? garage tried charging me £600 and I don't know if that's them
ripping me off or not.

which model for starters?

4 tyres - depends on sizes
brakes - again depends on discs or drums at rear
exhaust sounds as though it's shot
emissions could just need a service, highly unlikely to me judging by state of rest of car?
looks like both ball joints, doing 1 may as well do both

fuel/ brake line corrosion may not be too bad at moment, will only get worse
screen is insurance jobby, excess to pay

parts probably not too much but killer will be labour & VAT if you pay someone to do it

It's a mk2 Ibiza vibe hatchback (2000). That's all I know about it really. I'm not much of a car guy. So is £600 reasonable for all that?

Just got told it would be about £450 to get the things sorted that made it fail.. no advisories, just the rest. and that's without any tyres,
so the ball joint, parking break cables, and 2 exhaust parts for £450, is that good?
anyone know where to get some decent tyres for under £150.. all they had were some goodyear ones that cost about £100 each

Inverness, up in the top of Scotland.. too late now, The work is already done, Just need some new tyres and a MOT retest.. which the guy says cant be done til next week.. which is after my 10 days so I will have to pay for another -_-

I will try and scan in the bill when I go and pick up the car later and you can tell me how much they over charged me on each part, so next time I will know better :D
