Fault code??

Ok after putting vehicle through my fault code reader earlier it has come up with P0171 fault system running lean.

Any ideas what this is??

Can be an intake leak, MAF issues, low fuel pressure, exhaust leaks, vacuum leaks etc. but could also be the lambda sensor itself (although most times I've seen that fault its been something else)

Does it drive ok? as well as boosting ok and not using too much fuel?

It drives fine and boosts well. Uses about the same fuel although I haven't driven it far since the code popped up

Ok I've had a look and can't find any loose pipes anywhere from top of engine around fuel rail and around the forge 008 valve etc

Any ideas as don't want to spend loads of money on a MAF sensor and it's not that?

What's the maf reading at idle? If your scan tool shows that I don't know.

You might just need to spray the maf element with carb cleaner, they do get dirty.

The car idles fine but I'm not sure whether the code reader will pick it up. I'll try cleaning it up first and then see what happens

I would bet probably PCV/breather system pipes split (mostly under inlet mani)
