if you got 1 or 2 meters of silicone hose and a few small cable ties or small jubilee clips the n249 bypass will take literally 10-15 mins. it helps holding full boost for longer. befor my bypass i peaked at 0.8bar and dropped down to 0.6-0.5 now i peak at 0.8 in 3rd and 4th and it holds around 0.7-0.75 bar so its a 0.2 bar improvement. this may be due to a vac leak or faulty n249 but either way the cars better for it.

I got a metre of hose but doesnt look enough? i need to put one end on the d/v. the other end on the inlet and then cut it int he middle insert the t piece and run a piece to the fuel pressure regulator right? then remove that black box above coilpack 4 and bungup the hoses and bung up the old d/v top hose?

spot on. use 2 of the bolts from the brackett holding the box over coil 4 to bung the pipes as they fit nice and snug. just cable tie or jubilee clip every point it joins. its a worth while mod if you believe to have some boosting issues.

Cheers mate, mines barking as i come off the accelerator because of the blue spring, ordered a yellow one but forge kindly sent me a complete spring tuning kit, green/yellow/blue/red/ so now ive got 5 springs to choose from lol

well thats a bonus then. i should have done the same and saved myself £15 lol its hard to say weather or not changing the spring will alter your exhaust note but you dont want to put to heavy a spring in so it stalls the turbo on lift off.

Im guessing it will, pressure in the system will be higher to operate the valve and as the valve is working much quicker its not getting a chance to equalise. More a thud of air rather than gradual.

All guess work:redface: though so very interested in the outcome.

Every days a school day :D

Seems a lot better with yellow spring, doesnt bark/lurch as much, but it had rolling road today which has opened up another can of worms :( see new thread im about to start need more help !
