Agreed, the red / black colour theme looks the dogs ******** ;)

What numpty said Red cars are harder to sell? I guess because my cars yellow i'm going to get a lower price to then? :bleh:

I feel a flaming coming on , colour doesnt matter - unless it really is extreme (Illuminous green for example).

Brisa Blue possibly wouldnt do you any favours come resale time...

I guess the dealers favourities (i.e. colours easiest to shift) will be much the same as this:

Not quite sure why you say red would have a negative impact on what you would get as a trade in, particularly on the FR?
Yes, I can't sit on the fence cos me pride and joy is red but not had any negative on the colour up to press from dealers or otherwise.
Each to their own.

Red cars fade faster and usually in a big way. I have no prejudice toward red as my current touran was my 4th new car on the trot in red. But as the dealer tried to drop off nearly a grand as a trade in, I couldn't be bothered with argueing next time round (went to another dealer in the end but had to go 50 miles to do it)

As for red on the leon, it's ok but I think yellow is slightly better but white does look the mutts. each to their own as you say though. And who cares...ITS STILL AND FR....TOP MOTOR:clap:

Depends how often you wax them and protect it. After a good clean and wax i think only a black car looks better. But then with red i don't have to clean it all the time like a black one! ;)

Or if you are gonna mimic the Cupra, this ;)

My better half has an Altea FR 170 TDi in Black, agree looks absolutely fantastic when clean (rear spoiler/ chrome tailgate tip/ smoked rear lights)
Found that the down side to black is that it shows up every scratch or chip much more than red and yep it only stays clean for about 20 yards.

But she loves black, despite moaning her head off about having to clean it so much and guess what colour she has chosen for her next Seat?????

You got it black!!! Bless her.

Just realised you are from Ilkestone! Thats were I went to get the Milltek on my car :)

Milltek themselves. They needed a Cupra to design their Oval back box.

Didn't realise they were in Ilkeston, will have to investigate further.
Wonder if they have any plans for the 170TDi engine, nothing for it on their web-site at the moment?

They had a 170 PD TDi Golf in after my car with a full exhaust and no DPF. They are working on it :)
