Well I decided that it was time to app,y some blood sweat and tears to my FR. :funk:

Of course I picked the hottest day of the year so far to do it.

So as this is the first time I have "detailed" a car (until now I used to wash and dry with a sponge and a dead cow) as I now have all the right gear I thought I would let you have a look at my pride and joy.

I think you need to flip this one :D

Looks good though, Jeffs stuff is very good, should last a while, even in the heat of the sun we are having

Thanks, I went for the JEFFS Werkstatt Carnauba Kit in the end. It took a while but I am pleased with the way it looks.

I had been using the JEFFS acrylic kit on my ovni Cupra and loved it. I haven't used the JEFFS yet on the Leon. I'll finish the JEFFS acrylic off on the Leon and then maybe see about using the JEFFS carnauba kit when it comes to buy new stuff.

How easy did you find it to use the carnauba kit as the acrylic is so easy and quick, one of the things I like about it as I can get quite pushed for time but like to know the car is being protected.

It was fairly easy to use. It took about 4 hours to wash, prime, gloss and wax. Could probably have done it quicker but I didn't rush as I didn't bother with any superguard stuff from the dealers.

It was about 23C so it was proably a little warm but the Gloss helped remove the prime, glad I had it otherwise it would have taken alot more elbow grease.

Great info, ta!

Doesn't sound like it took too much more to do than the acrylic. Certainly it is the same thing with the acrylic in terms of getting the sealant (jett layer) off, the glos treatment helps majorly!!!

Guess once I finish the acrylic stuff off, I'll try the carnauba stuff!!
