surely these gps based apps/tools cannot be very accurate. considering GPS isnt even that accurate (something like 16ft accuracy). A ODB one would be a lot more accurate as its reading the actual speed.

Dragy has been tested multiple times and is considered to be very accurate. The system uses high-performing GPS and GLONASS to be able to accurately measure the vehicle’s performance within 1/100 th of a second.

A better indicator of just how accurate Dragy can be was found in a 1/8-mile trap speed. The Dragy averaged within 0.06MPH - with the highest error being 0.09MPH. That was barely more than 0.15 percent of error. The performance data was very close to the dragstrip timing system used.

you need to go online and check out the dragy box me thinks......works on the 10ghz gps compared to most phone sat nav devices that use 1ghz updates 10x faster and is what the industry uses ......

Dragy uses high speed GPS satellites to accurately measure your vehicles performance within 1/100th of a second, producing identical results to the much more expensive and cumbersome VBOX system, in a less expensive and easier to use package (for the money they are superb ) had this one since they came out .

this is being used at drag srips as well now.
it's not some mickey mouse phone app...they are used and Widely renowned across the globe..
