That sound about right. The auto lights on my Cupra are very sensitive too. I think this is pretty much standard with Seat. Mine do come on when the sun is low in the sky.

Thanks for that - it just seemed a bit odd!

i'm a little paranoid i think - new car i keep trying to find faults, as theres nothing broken and nothing to take apart that needs fixing! unlike my old cars!

Hi Just to ask a silly question - the auto lights on mine seem to be on most of the time (as in 3pm todaywhen i thought it was light enough for them not to be on!) how sensitive are yours - do you think i could have a problem with them ?

thanks

Sounds about right my BMW 1 Series had them and they were just as sensetive and came on as the sun went down. Other cars I have driven with them on have been the same too.

I was interested to read the comments on the suspension of the FL FR. I have been running an FR TDI for nearly two years with the new one just arrived with the Dealer I thought I would give my take on the suspension have driven both. My first impression with the pre-FL FR was that the suspension needed to be softened. On smooth roads the car rides pretty well but can get a bit unsettled over bumps. From experience I have found that very stiffly sprung cars have not proved the best for road use. Seat have altered the suspension on the FL FR and from the time I had in the Demonstrator they have made a big improvement to the car. The noise factor has reduced, possibly due to the different tyres from mine but I am sure that the suspension is a factor. The car definately rides the mid corner bumps better. I test cars on the same roads so have a fair idea of how each compares and I feel that the modifications have made a worthwhile improvement.
The new CR engine has also made a vast difference to the driving experience, quieter and smoother. As these engines put out 350nm of torque the new electronic diff lock has worked well in improving traction on damp surfaces.

Cheers

Thanks for the reply;

I tried it this morning and they did go off around lunch time - but my wipers did not work on auto when it was raining!

i've just come home and had a closer look and the sensor was not touching or stuck to the windscreen - i've removed the cover and warmed the sensor and screen with a hair dryer and stuck it back on - its not on perfect but i cant get back to the dealer till next week!

does anyone have a photo of the sensor on properly for me to show them as they said they didn't know and don't have a leon in stock with it on?

thanks

Chris

Ok so i just tested the lighs with a torch at the sensor - all ok now

used a jug of water for the rain sensor - a little too much water as when the wipers came back up i got the contents of the jug over me :( so i think all ok but i'll test that whenit rains

I think i'll give the dealers a miss unless it stops working again - but i'd still like a picture if someone has one so i can see if the sensor is now seating correctly

thanks - and sorry for hogging the thread i should have started a new one!
