doesn't look like i'll be settling for them any time soon then!i have FK coilovers, and they were on the car 18months (before i owned it) and when i MOT'd it ALL of the shocks were leaking, the seals perished etc.
I researched it and seems to be a common thing with some FKs. they were horrible ride aswel, but that could have been the shocks.
I went with Jamex Coilovers, £150 i think... not the best but better than my FKs
captain, excuse my ignorance, but ive never owned a set of springs where the paint has stayed on?!
I had eibach springs on my bmw and the paint didnt last long at all... same with my jamex coilovers on my leon...
I don't see the point myself. Having to take the covers off to clean them all the time, in fact more, due to all the crap collecting in the cover? rather just clean them well
Captain Cupra where did you get the covers from?
I make these myself, and they work a treat, the design is patented so no copying!
No point copying, plenty of guides online

I make them, F**k the haters they work mate, people don't see the point but the causes of shock surface and spring wear is down to dirt and grit getting between the springs wearing the coating away and also sitting in the shock seals, not only that they keep the dirt off the threads so when you want to adjust you don't grind half a ton of grit, I can make you a set for £30 delivered.
Tell you what I'll send you a set and you'll see that if you fit to a new set of coilovers they will be brand new under the cover after a year!
