Is it common for there to be a flat spot on the PD130 engine at around 1700RPM?

I've changed gear a few times and noticed the engine seems to stutter slightly, a little like it's misfiring.

Not got VAG Com so can't check for any error codes.

I cant be certain, but I've a PD100 mapped to 150bhp
and I dont experiance any flat spots like you've explained in any gears. Before or after the remap.

is it a flat spot as in you change gear too early(2000rpm ish) and come out of turbo(usually kicks in at 1800rpm) so then when you accelerate you hit boost at 1800 rpm(giving a nice kick up the bum) and you think you have a flat spot at 1700 rpm?

Other than this you will need vag com to see what sensor is causing the momentary blib in accleration.

I think it may be a case of changing gear too early. Have just changed from a petrol car so not used to having the turbo spool up etc.

Gonna get myself Vag com and have a look for any error codes.

Its egr related. There is a moddified replacement gasket which you can buy it has a smaller hole in it than the original. Just as easy though to make one yourself.
