When you all take the car into the dealer with aftermarket leds do they say anything about the leds? I have this issue after fitting leds but don't want the dealer to refuse fixing it because I fitted leds.

Strange! Mine is still OK, 7 month after the replace!

I re-read this thread again and thanks to applz, I think my problem is due to the glove box light.

I looked in the crack around the glove box door and the light was on. I pushed the door and the interior lights stopped flickering.

Must be a dodgy switch or glove box not making the switch and back feeding the interior lighting circuit causing the LEDS to glow.

Thanks

This has been bothering me for a while. My dealer didn't really bother doing something when I mentioned it so I started trying things to see what fixes it and turning off the electrochromic mirror does. Go figure.

It is really annoying and my dealer is dragging its feet about a fix for this. They have reported it to technical apparently but they still have not come back with a solution.

I wonder how many people have this issue??

I can't say I have seen the stoppers on my leon but I will have another look though.

If I switch one of my interior lights on the other one comes on and vice versa.
Does yours do this??

I screwed them a little, because they were too much unscrewed and when closing the box door the light was flickerring inside the glovebox, this in combination with wet weather forces the consolel lights to flicker.

I am not sure how is this called, but I have faced the same effect when I changed some home lights with led bulbs, if I had a electric switch with glim lamp this maked the led bulbs that don't have resistors put to flicker. The leds in the console don't have resistors probably and I think they are on the same electical circuit with the glovebox light. Probably revised console could fix this, also changing the light bulb in the glovebox with led one could fix also the issue - cost arround 3-4 GBP.

flicka.

I noticed same 2 days ago in the morning travelling to the dealer. Just before reaching the dealer they stopped doing this. 2 days after and they haven't done it. I think this is as somebody said due to condensation. I mentioned it to the dealer, they werent' aware of such issue. Dealer asked me if I changed to leds, I said - they are leds by default :) Noticed that when the auto start/stop is activated waiting on red light, they are off, though there is electricity because when I push the button they glow up, releasing the pedal and as the engine starts they started flashing again :)
Still coming on when I open glove box

I have not been able to resolve this by the glove box adjustment and my light are still not independant.

I have also noticed that pressing and depressing the accel pedal also causes them to come on and off sometimes. I do think a modified console would stop it but i'm not sure how damp or wet weather could affect it as it is inside the car??
