I folded the wing mirrors up on my Cupra K1 last night using the key fob, now I come to drive it this morning and only the drivers side mirror folded back down when I turned the ignition. The passenger wing mirror is stuck in the upright position. Neither the key fob or mirrors joystick has any effect on the mirrors now (the drivers side won't even fold back up) - the car doesn't even attempt to move the mirrors.

Anyone got any ideas on what could have gone wrong or how to fix it? I have noticed that the whole mirror seems loose at the folding joint compared to the drivers side which is fairly solid and rigid.

All fixed (hopefully!)

Hmmn I just went out in the car again and it magically fixed itself like yours seems to Tarek. Strange this is the first time its ever happened in 4 years. Hopefully its not going to be regular thing!

Mikey, yes if you hold down the lock button it will lock the car and fold the mirrors in.
Likewise if you hold down the unlock button it will unlock the car and roll the windows down.

My car is fairly new, 2012, and I have no idea why it is does that either. Sometimes the valet manually (with the joystick) folds the mirrors in, and when I get inside the car and manually open them (also using the joystick), only one of them would come down and such. I guess the whole folding-up thing is messed up because we've had other cars with folding mirrors (although the normal way) for several years and nothing like that ever happens. I guess that's what SEAT gets for trying to copy the 7-series BMW folding style, LOL. :p
