Forge dv

Hey peeps. Ive had a search but nothing really helping me. I got my self a forge split r dump valve from ultimate dubs. Ive fitted it and messed with but im not getting much of a noise, just a little sneeze only from inside the car. Im running a standed air filter would this need changing, or do i just need to mess with it some more. Valve come without the box or any info.

but yea put a air filter on thre will sound much better

How many clicks have you set it at? From what i've read around 20-25 clicks is about right for a remapped car. And fitting a cone filter will make a big difference.

have searched mate. As there was no info with dv i sorta dont no how load the sneeze should be or where the best adjustment.

I think JJ AROSA has just fitted one of these to his car iirc he got it set at 18 clicks although im not sure what he is running power wise.???

im runing 366 bhp gt2817r turbo for my set up 18-20 clicks was were it needed to be. (still no noise though)

turbosmart il get next

on my old k03s i had it set at 21 clicks and it was loud

thanks every1, think its about 18 il get a filter and see if any diffrent

JJ not really sure how you're not getting noise out of the split r on 366 hp's...but ok

anyway, you'll find almost everyone on here dissaproves or dis favours the SplitR. Personally I think its a good piece of kit.

Firstly make sure you have it on the car right way round

like this:

then twist the top all the way to the right which will open it completely. Then set it back about 17 clicks and go for a drive. From there you have to listen when it releases the boost. For this refer to the thread posted above.

The only actual downside I find from this is that at constant highway speeds it will constantly blow off a tad bit.

When set up properly it will sound very nice, and I still run standard boost

I like my split r too...... never had any issues with it since i bought it off nick-barnes07 cuple years ago, mines on 26 clicks and sounds nice and loud !

i've got a normal forge recirclating dv with a stiffer spring! would it be worth changing it to the spliter r version or a baileys one??
