Hya mate, apparantly a twintercooler from a mk5 gti will fit an ed30, which does beg the question why there are two different part number for both cars and the one for the ed30 is more money :ban: I couldnt see why it wouldnt fit into a lean cupra as as far as im aware the gti, ed30 and cupra all have the same standard intercooler set up, it was just the s3 which has a slightly improved intercooler as standard! Anyway, if your in any doubt mate id try giving forge a call themselves :)

The mounting brackets for the intercooler are different, on the leon and golf.

Golf twintercooler will have different mounting points than the Leon twintercooler and the car will need other mods to accommodate it. Sure some of the lads on www.mk5golfgti.co.UK have been down this road so might be worth a look there.

I'm mates with the lad who's selling it and he told me it wouldn't fi a Cupra as I asked him before he took it off the car lol

its ok. until i actually decide what level im gonna stop modding there is no point with the intercooler.

i cant decide if just to go stage 1 or go further for stage 2 +

Can i just ask, is the Twintercooler a single intercooler that works in conjunction with the standard OEM intercooler? Or is it a dual core intercooler that replaces the OEM one?

unless the forge one was mega cheap i'd just go for the S3 intercooler, and from what i remember the forge intercooler works in conjunction with the standard one.

Ah that's what i thought, cheers.

So the S3 is cheaper? That's why there are a lot of guys on here with one? I've always thought that a Forge would be better, otherwise people with an S3 wouldn't bother getting a forge.

I dont have a MK2 yet, hence the questions, but im getting itchy feet and thinking of getting a FL one soon.

I got both an can say the forge offers more gain than the S3 cooler (both without aircon is best :D)
The forge is so easy to install and imho. looks better but it al comes to budget and what you are looking for.
