hi guys i seen a uprated wastegate for the ibiza fr tdi and was just wondering what difference do they make?? and what do they do exactly just let out the excess gas is it??

Doesn't seem likely as the wastegate is an integral part of the turbocharger.

Can't find it on the Forge website.

Do you mean wastegate actuator?

yea that right the actuator sorry mate what it do? Is it worth upgrading?

From the look of it, it has a slightly stiffer spring to delay the wastegate opening a little, which will increase the maximum boost. I can't see this working well without a remap, unless the boost increase is so small as to not trigger limp mode on the standard map. But I don't know what the tolerances are.

ok cool well i got a remap ibiza fr tdi so would it be a good mod to do? Good gains or anythin?
