Has anybody had their Formentor Dyno'd to check out the true power, I have and would be interested to know if any others have, it would be interesting to compare results.

it really amazes me that a post regarding the performance of the Formentor VZ310 has received such little interest, I really thought the buyers (or even those that just lease or PCP the car) would have been curious to know, I guess this forum is more about winging and complaining, hopefully somebody may start a "Formentor Positive Performance Forum" one can live in hope.....

The thing about public forums is that they don't always deliver what you want and you can't make them. Still, rather than living in hope (or whinging (sic) and moaning about it) why not be the one to set up the "Formentor Positive Performance Forum"? :)

It amazes me that in a post about other people’s Dyno results the Op doesn’t post their own results, but complains other people haven’t posted.

People don’t have the cars. 90% of the people here are waiting for their car (there’s a parts shortage you can’t see from your high horse) and the other 10% probably don’t want to dyno their Brand New Car.

So either contribute or stop being another whinger.

Thank you for your comments, if I had the time every day I probably would, I feel however it would probably benefit being led by someone like yourself with such great "Dispute Resolution Skills", you seem to involve yourself in every thread posted on the Formentor Forum, as a fellow owner of the VZ2 maybe you have some interest in the performance of the Formentor.

Dear hizzards, for your information 169 contributors (please see Cupra Formentor owners register) on the Formentor forum are currently in posession of a Cupra Formentor (unless they have already returned them or already sold the car) I realise that there are others on the forum who haven't yet received their car yet, my post took no account of the 90% still waiting, so 90% does that really mean that there are 1503 contributors on the forum awaiting delivery, perhaps you may wish to reconsider your post, or at least get your facts right.......

I own a Formentor 310 and have had it for 5 months now. I did not dyno it and I've reduced my consumption of this forum as I am no longer waiting for one :). I'm quite happy with the car, it's not super emotional due to the automatic gearbox but it is very fast and feels on rails.

I'd love to see dyno results but at the end of the day, does it really matter.

If anyone is going to dyno their car I'd suggest that they try out the different modes, especially Offroad mode. I am curious if the car has more losses when it uses Offroad mode, I want to know if the 4 wheel drive is engage all the time when in offroad mode.

Hi Peyton, I too have owned my VZ310 since April, I bought a demonstrator which was registered end of November 2020, I have already covered 11,000 miles in the car, the reason I didn't mention the results of the dyno test (which has been carried out by a very well respected VW Audi Group performance specialist) was due to the overwhelming comments I may have received, I was hoping that there may have been a small group of enthusiasts within the group (how wrong could I have been note last two responces before yours) who may have been interested. The reason I had my own car Dyno'd was due to considering having a Race Chip GTS fitted. Like you I don't spend a lot of time on this forum due to the 90% (according to one well informed member)! are awaiting delivery of their Formentor.

Cool story bro.

Meanwhile you haven’t posted your results. To which end I’ve decided you don’t even own one.

Now shush.

Honestly you are complaining for no real reason. Most comments here were fine, some people posted what they heard about dyno testing of other people but no one shared personal experience (I guess no one really did the testing themselves). Then you proceeded to complain that not enough people were enthusiastic about this and now we are here. All of this could have been avoided if you posted your results initially, which would be the thing to do since you mentioned you did it.

You still haven't posted your results which I assume you feel are good as you kept mentioning them.

All the best to you.

You want everyone to do the heavy lifting for you. Yet you have the time to number crunch the owners' register and trawl through my previous posts to discover what I do for a living. How strange.

All Seat/Cupra performance cars (and indeed VW, Audi etc) cars produce more than they are listed to produce.

My Leon Cupra 300 was book rated for 296bhp but when dyno’ed at the forum meet in Nov 2018 at Unicorn in Manchester it posted 310bhp with no changes to the stock engine.

My Formentor VZ2 is rated at 306bhp (and probably has more) but in no way does it seem as fast as the 300.

Saying that, it still goes like stink and can easily exceed all road speed limits in a time that non owners would like.

No plans to put any chips, remaps of any sort on my car. Happy with it as it is cos if I chipped it I’d definitely lose my licence.

Hi Maypack, thank you for your response, The reason I have been so guarded about the rolling road figures is because they aren't quite as specified and I wanted to see if any other owners had had their own Formentor Dyno'd.

The results are a little bit down on specification the maximum power was measured at 298.85 BHP, Max Torque 417.80 I agree it's still pretty quick!

I am a little uncertain what it is you mean by "heavy Lifting", am I missing something?
