• Hey Guest💡👉 We have just launched our new Dealer Directory and review service Find out more now
Honestly you are complaining for no real reason. Most comments here were fine, some people posted what they heard about dyno testing of other people but no one shared personal experience (I guess no one really did the testing themselves). Then you proceeded to complain that not enough people were enthusiastic about this and now we are here. All of this could have been avoided if you posted your results initially, which would be the thing to do since you mentioned you did it.

You still haven't posted your results which I assume you feel are good as you kept mentioning them.

All the best to you.
Thank you for your kind advice which I am not offended by, quite the contrary, (unlike you once where)! I have posted the results on a reply to the very friendly Maypack's comments.

I am a little uncertain what it is you mean by "heavy Lifting", am I missing something?
It was merely a reference to that fact that, at that point, you were asking other members if they had figures to post whilst appearing disinclined to post your own. You've since posted your figures, of course. As to the figures themselves, you're right that the power output is slightly below spec, but the torque is slightly above spec, yes? There could be any number of reasons for that; including the inevitable varaitions in calibration form one rolling road to another. My local tuner uses a Dyno Dynamics rolling road, which I'm told tends to under-read. That was my experience when I had a stage 2 pulley swap done on my S4. But it's difficult to point to anything in particular without seeing the rolling road printout and knowing what shoot mode was used.

it really amazes me that a post regarding the performance of the Formentor VZ310 has received such little interest, I really thought the buyers (or even those that just lease or PCP the car) would have been curious to know, I guess this forum is more about winging and complaining, hopefully somebody may start a "Formentor Positive Performance Forum" one can live in hope.....
Oh dear, whats your problem? You can't complain about something you have created. If you start a thread with a mystery comment and don't want to tell people the result of your test then don't expect enthusiasm from any replies.

The guy is clearly the saddest of sad low effort trolls and should really be ignored as such if at all possible

I agree the guy is a complete (please fill in your own words here) who hasn't a clue what he is talking about, just because he has owned a formentor VZ2 since April and covered over 11,000 miles, has been guarded about the rolling road figures because they aren't quite as specified and wanted to see if any other owners had had their own Formentor Dyno'd, results are a little bit down on specification the maximum power was measured at 298.85 BHP, Max Torque 417.80 and agrees it's still pretty quick! Total Twa£! Ban him from here instantly and anyone else who wants to talk about performance figures!!!"!""

Yours Sincerely Mr. Effin Angry. (Now where do i find my next victim)

Please try reading the rest of the posts before you wade in with your silly childish comments, Hi Maypack, thank you for your response, The reason I have been so guarded about the rolling road figures is because they aren't quite as specified and I wanted to see if any other owners had had their own Formentor Dyno'd.

What is there to be guarded about? Forgive me but this really is going nowhere just now. If you actually want a meaningful discussion about power outputs and why your figures are what they are, can I suggest you start by reading this, then publish your full printout showing the power and torque cruves in their entirety (maximum figures in isolation have no context and are just for pub bragging) along with the dyno settings, ambient temperatures on the day and any information you got from talking to the dyno operator about why your results might be different from spec? If you do that, then we might have the basis for a sensible discussion along the lines of what you seem to have been wishing for when you opened the thread.

Thank you once again for your input, I would be delighted to discuss privately in greater detail my reasons for being guarded, you would then perhaps be more understanding, you also menyione in one of your earlier retorts reference to me knowing what it is you do, I am a great beliver in having an understanding of the person or professionally the businesses that I communicate and work with, I would assume that you would also employ a similar strategy when attempting to resove disputes.

Why do you have to communicate in private? Whats the point of putting it on a public forum?

Yes i really must agree, after all it's often described as a Golf R on stilts so a taller hot hatch at the end of the day ,same engine and gearbox.so i would have thought a lot of interest in tuning.

It is really a matter of it being a new platform and options still lacking.
Let's wait until the ECU gets unlocked, development starts and eventually there are ECU flashing options.
Right now, only tuning boxes and those are far from great.

I own a Formentor 310 and have had it for 5 months now. I did not dyno it and I've reduced my consumption of this forum as I am no longer waiting for one :). I'm quite happy with the car, it's not super emotional due to the automatic gearbox but it is very fast and feels on rails.

I'd love to see dyno results but at the end of the day, does it really matter.

If anyone is going to dyno their car I'd suggest that they try out the different modes, especially Offroad mode. I am curious if the car has more losses when it uses Offroad mode, I want to know if the 4 wheel drive is engage all the time when in offroad mode.
I will get mine on a dyno prob late this year or early next year and will use the so called heart breaker 750 club dyno that i used on the M240i.
i will post the results when i have them ,sit tight folks...

bhp down a tad but torque figures are up,i've seen a few dyno figures for the same car most seem to be about 317 bhp .the big thing is how many miles and what fuel do you use ? just putting 99 ron from 95 can get you bang on the 306 quoted if you are not already using it.

To be honest, I'm not interested if car has 290 or 310 PS, bhp, etc. Software slowed it down significantly and I don't feel the power anyway. I only put one car on the dyno, because I read this model comes with a bit more power than specified. In the end, it was only 10PS over standard 520PS.
