Formentor Pre Facelift petrol vs ehybrid (v2)

Hi all. Whats everyone's thoughts on the Formentor v2 Hybrid vs 1.5 petrol engine models? So the e-hybrid models were £38,000 when new and the 1.5 petrol were £29,000. I'm looking for a 2022 or 2023 plate and the hybrid models seem to be going for less money than the petrol now. (around 20,000)? Is this because the hybrids have an older DGEA engine that VW are phasing out? Is it the battery and charging times are not great? I really want to get into the hybrid world but it comes with the technology side of things where it gets dated very quickly. I'd love to get a new facelift model but it's out of my price range. Any advice in this area would be great. One thing I do know. I really love the Formentor! I need to get one!
