has anyone here had there fr 1.4 150 remapped and if so what gains have you seen?

wondering because im thinking of doing so myself, also thinking about getting a catback and some new alloys, could anyone recommend me some good but not too expensive 17" ones please.

I am also planning for a remap on my 1.4 FR but mine is a 140. According to revo, my 140 will get 30 bhp increase and a extra dose of torque. Revo map will cost around £399. Better wait for the not so regular deals.

Having looked into it briefly I believe revo white up to around 186bhp for the 1.4 but I could be wrong. Check out their website, all figures are on there. As for the wheels, have you considered going to 18s? Fill the arch much better than 17s and don't really compromise ride quality much either. It's one of those instances where size does matter lol.

i was thinking about it but since I have DSG the torque is already at the max it can take 250 NM

I think it would be 2x more fun with more sound than a little bit more power.

ive asked a few tuning companies and they said stage 1 should take me to about 190. its not going to be for a few months as i currently have a black box, only been driving 9 months, in october i wont have one.

i dont really want to fork out for new 18" wheels aswell as alloys tbh with you.

edit- also revo seem to expensive to me, ive been qouted £250 with a rolling road etc from west yorkshire tuning.

In your op did you not ask for wheel recommendations? You could get a deal on wheel and tyre packages on a new set of 18s then sell your existing wheels to claw back a portion of the cost? Just an option?

Btw, nice car for just 9 months of driving, bit different to my first car lol.

i asked for recommendations on 17" ;) i suppose i could save for 18" but its the probably the second last item on my list.

firstly i want my roof wrapping black and my wingmirrors caps spraying black, then an exhaust, then alloys then a remap.

my first car was a 1.4 corsa 66 reg, ive gone back two years but got much more power, it feels so much better.

Is a stage 2 possible at all on a 1.4?

What colour car you got mate? If getting all those buts done black is get black wheels too to tie it all together. Sounds like some decent plans though mate.

i was told to not do this by a few people with my previous golf tsi 150.the engines are capable of more but its the gearbox that could be the problem as its currently running at its max torque output.thats the reason I never got it done.
would be interesting to hear if anyone has had this done tho.

too expensive 17" ones please.

In the past when I really wanted to keep my Leon beyond the end of PCP period, I had a checklist of what I wanted to improve on my car. The 17' rims I really fancied were GunMetal DRC DRS rims, paired with my Monstat Red car... at that time, a set of 4 new rims were in the high 300s, Low 400s, I think 389 or 399, exc tyres.

There was a pic with a Seat Ibiza Red one, now I can't find them, anyhow, here are some 'ideas' but i couldnt find MK3 Leons.

Are you talking about manual or DSG?? The 1.8 gets remapped to ~250BHP and it has the same gearbox?
