The major bugbear i have with my Fr (not even picked it up yet lol) is that it sits so high!

I've not modified a car for a couple of years and the last car i had that was lowered was an Ibiza cupra on coilovers and it was really uncomfortable!

So i'm after a spring set that will drop the car enough that the standard 17'S will fill the arches nicely whils still offerring a comfortable drive.

Anyone any thoughts? And also what kind of price am i looking at for supply and fit (roughly) as i'm about as handy with a spanner as a 2yr old child!

Here's the car btw.
I'm picking it up on monday as i'm off to Wales to see family this weekend and i wasn't picking it up earlier this week only for it to sit at the airport and also i'd lose a months road tax!

Eibach Sportlines. Looks ace and no problems with clearance over speed bumps etc. If anything, I felt it improved the ride.

Shocks made from concrete would improve the ride on the old FR's! I go with the sportlines also, had prolines on the old one and i thought it still had too much of a gap between the tyre and arch. Cant remember exact price, but £200 should do for supply and fit but you will need 4 wheel alignement which cost me about £80, so aim for less than £300 all in.

Well I've had a price of £325 fitted including 4 wheel alignment. That's from star performance which is in the next town to me.

Sounds pretty good I reckon.

that's a good price mate, your thread has got me thinking about getting mine done now. I have had an FR for nearly 2 years now and the only mod is an Angel Tuning remap. Might stick a Pipercross filter in too

would you fit the springs with the standard dampers or would you change these aswell?

I feel your pain buddy I'm on standard ride height and I often get mistaken for a snow plough........
I've ordered some Eibach sportlines and a local garage will fit and align them for £180
