Hi guys,

Just realised my local mechanic has a re-mapping business and has offered to take my PD170 straight to a stage 2 220bhp remap for £200 as I've already had the DPF gutted.

What is the PD engines like at stage 2? Worth the money or just stick to 170bhp. Would appreciate your opinions, especially from people who have done this.

Thanks!

I can guarantee he wont make anywhere near them figures. Have it done once, have it done right go visit kilner (probs to far mind) shame you're not close by could've tried mine

You'd want a full system. If you're chasing figures get a proper custom map made to how you want it.... get a popcorn limiter on aswell! Lol.... is this the part where you ask what one is so I get to upload a clip of mine in action making popcorn

Haha, I know what they are ... But I wouldn't mind seeing yours in action regardless! ;)

That sir is the pop corn limiter / hardcut limiter. The only one designed for my ecu and the pd170 .

yeah mainly for sound and looks (or if someones behind you at the lights and you wanna give um soot ak47 style)

Benifit from it would be it stops you from over revving

I think I have the PD170 too, how does one confirm if it's PD170?

it's a 2006 Seat Leon FR TDI

Yes you have the pd170 turbo

Okay so when I bought mine (a few months ago), I was told the DPF removal/remap has been done on it.

The DPF light comes on and goes off when I'm starting, I'm assuming this is normal after the remap, I was told it's 200 bhp now but apart from taking it on a rolling road (which i assume will be expensive), there's no way to tell what the exact bhp is now however I'm also interested in getting more performance!

mainly I'd like an increase in the 0-30 mph acceleration - is that something a stage 2 remap delivers?

also, how does a stage 2 remap affect mpg?

Yeah you probs are around 200. Rolling rounds aren't as expensive as you think, a decent road with accurate numbers is around 40+ vat

you say you're light comes on, im assuming you mean when you first turn the ignition and all the lights initially come on??

Without sounding rude you wanna increase you're 0-30mph?? You've got a fwd car the more torque and power you get the more wheel spin and loss of traction you'll get, but yeah you can get a hell of a more aggressive start. You want a custom map made to how you want it

I see you're also in south Yorkshire, well the master of these ecus and turbo's lives near us, he tuned mine, we spent a long time on it untill he was happy with how I wanted it. Dont mind taking you out in mine to show you what these can do
