FR steering wheel retrofit

Hey everyone apologies if this is in the wrong area I’m new to the forums I’m interested in retrofitting a FR steering wheel to my Leon SE 2014 model I’m just wondering if anyone has done this before on the pre facelift models and if I can use my original airbag and loom?

Yes it's a direct swap, just make sure you get a wheel with the same button layout and you'll be good to go. I did this on my Audi A3 SE and fitted an S-line wheel was such a nice upgrade

you can simply remove the old buttons and install them in the new steering wheel

Can I use the buttons which are already on the new steering wheel I will be getting a 2013-2016 model so all the buttons are the same including the view button which is different on the 2017+ the only thing I will have to swap over is the airbag is that right ?

Assuming that if the old wheel has paddles, the new one doesn't either

If the new wheel has paddles and the old one doesn't, they'll need new buttons
