Why do You want to fit this pipe ?? Can't You just remove insert ??

I'm not sure but DPF can must be in place as catalytic conventer is integral part of DPF so if You remove DPF downpipe You can fail MOT ...

ah right

Is it easy to remove the insert?

There is few companies who can remove DPF (software and hardware) without any problems closest to You is P-torque in Wolverhampton

wonder what the cost is.

If I could remove it myself, I could get it coded out of the ecu for about £170 with a map. Would just need to pay garage to take dpf off the car

Who will get Your map done for You ??

P-torque is all in for £650 with custom map and dyno run before and after DPF removal

I would not touch them but it is Your car and Your money ... You know what You pay for cheap for reason

Quality cost a bit You can't get decent stuff for half the price is always like that do it cheap do it twice ...

Where is dyno run to prove how good map is and where is all diagnostic to check if Your car run fine ??

Check prices of decent tuners and You will see massive difference now ask Yourself why is like that ??

Wrong!

Diesels only have to pass a smoke test

For cars 58 plated onwards the smoke test is more strict, DPF removal is perfectly legal at the moment

So how about Catalytic conventer as far as I know it must be in place on every car

Petrols yes

Got alot of mates who removed cats on Ibiza PD130/160's and flown through MOT

My old PD170 passed its MOT with Milltek DPF Delete pipe

Yeh but thats because it failed the smoke test :cartman: When SEAT replaced the injectors i took it back to the MOT test centre and asked them to do a smoke test and it passed, faulty injector seals

Nothing was ever said about the Milltek DPF Delete pipe

Every petrol car, yes.

The CO2 from a diesel is so much lower the CAT does hardly anything anyway. As said the MOT only looks at full throttle in neutral smoke test so no/very low boost :p

The new smoke test was for 58 plate onwards so you should get away with the old smoke test limit
