Right,

I have a new 280 on order and just want to clear something up. If you want front fogs are they an option?

I have noticed that there are now coolers positioned behind the grille where the fogs are fitted on my current 265.

Is it an option that has now been remove due to the new LED lighting system?

I think they aren't needed with the LED's? But then again, the FR has them even when spec'd with LED lights. Don't see anywhere you can add them as an option though so I guess the answer is no, you can't have them ;-)

The FR as standard has bulb headlights and therefore fogs are included.

The LED lights are an upgrade (although free at the minute). They wouldn't delete the fogs with the LEDs option selected as this would mean a new bumper variant would be needed - thus raising production costs.

The LEDs on Cupra are standard and therefore you can make one bumper with no fogs for all cupras.

To note, I have never used the fogs on my car. It was foggy a couple of weeks ago and the headlights did the job perfectly.

LED lights are an upgrade in UK :)

Here in Poland there are four versions: Entry, Reference, Style and FR. And on both Style and FR LED lights are standard. Same as fog lights.

In Spain LED headlights are optional on all models except the Cupra.

As a result I have yet to see a Leon with LEDs apart from the occasional dealer demo car.

At €1000 extra no one will pay that much for them. It's a good deal in the UK but if you could have the cash instead to spend on another option would you take it?

There is no way I would pay that sort of money for fancy headlights.
