Hi all,
I have a Seat Leon 5f pre-facelift from 2016.
From factory it didn't come with a RHLS, so I retrofitted one.
I did some coding I found on other forums here, and the automatic lights and wipers work perfectly.
I do sometimes have issues with the humidity sensor, but I think this is because I didn't change the gel pad; I will do so in the future.
The only other problem I have are the leaving home lights. I followed a guide, saying I need to switch the light sensor from discreet to LIN. I did so, but this gave me al sorts of errors on the dash, and made my rear fog-lights stop working. I thought there might be an issue with the light switch I bought of the internet, so I got another one from a scrap car, but this also didn't work. The auto lights do work in discreet mode, but when I try to change the settings for leaving home, I get a popup saying 'function not available', even though I enabled them in OBD11. I then noticed my original light switch, and the one from the scrap car, only had 9 pins, and the one I bought online had 10. But then also noticed the cable for my light switch only has those 9 wires, even though the connector has space for 10. Is this why it isn't working?
When I check info on the central electronics (Module 09), I see the system description as "BCM MQBAB M", identifier as "J519" and hardware number as "5Q0937084AL". The hardware number for the RHLS is "5Q0955547A", and does communicate over LIN.
The switch I bought online was listed as NTY EWS-VW-101 Koplampschakelaar, or OE 5G0 941 431 AF — VW / VAG.
The switch I got from the scrap car is 5G0 941 431 AF.
