Hi all,

Am just about to put my number plate on the Leon, the current one has two screw holes where as I've always stuck my plates on so didn't really want to drill them!

When I looked behind there didn't seem much to stick the front one onto, anyone else had or got over this?!

Cheers

Very nice mate, where can you get them?

I take it that fixes to the bumper first then stick the plate to it?

Cheers

Just ebay them bud loads of different types on there, these ones are the ones that say SEAT and have the S logos but my rear one is just plain black.

And yeah they come with some self tapping screws i used them to go in the original holes then the plate just clips in

+1 for plate holders, look so much better. I have the "Cupra Sport" ones, got em from Awsome GTI if memory serves. Cost about £10 - 15.

Cheers guys, I took the front plate off tonight, how mean do they look with no plate?!

It seems now it should actually be fine, I have always stuck my plate on and there is more bumper to stick to than I first thought, it crossed my mind about a square plate actually...hmmmm!

I've stuck my metal plates on straight onto the bumper with no problems. Used 3 sticky pads on each plate. Just make sure you clean the back of the plate and bumper well and push them on nice and hard.

Cheers mate

I probably should start another thread but the mesh below the number plate is broken and I have a brand new complete replacement still in the packet, any idea how easy these are to change?!

Are the metal plates legal? Do they get much attention from our friends in blue?

Ive been running pressed metal plates for god knows how long never had a problem didnt come up on the MOT today either

No way, lol, I sold the car to my mate when a car salesman, a bird flew into it and broke it so he bought the new grill and had it about two years but never fitted it, lol, I bought the car off him and ive soon had the car a year and same!

Ok that's up on the to-do list! :D
