Front Speaker Problems. . .

So I get in the car this morning and turn on the radio, notice that the sound isn't quite how is used to be. So I listened to all the speakers individually, and discover that both left and right front door speakers aren't working!
I have a double-din pioneer HU hooked up but its been fine for nearly a year now so I don't think its anything to do with that. My dads had the car while Ive been at uni and he said something about water getting into the doors one rainy day, so im thinking its probably water damage? There was a rain storm and somehow the windows were left open over night or something (I know, what a fool!)

2 questions,

What do we think the problem comes down to?

How easy are new speakers to fit/what size am I looking for?

The water damage makes sense I think?
Iirc it's 16.5cm speakers.
Taking the door cards off is a pain as lots is attached to them though there was a guide up on here if it's not been culled

i saw a thread of removing doors on the 6j. Very helpfull.
I am needing of that to!
Only problem for putting speaker for doing it yourself is getting doors panels out....
